Year 2001. “Sydney’s a beautiful city. It was a great experience.” Barbara Hershey
I think the same as Barbara. I spent two years in this fantastic city where I most experimented my black&white film skills. After developing the films, the amazing think I found about this city was that, if you are patient enough to wait for the “right” moment, the photos cannot clearly state when they were taken, not at first at least.
This photo was shot in B&W and is a conversation from analogue to digital. Is located on the Bay Finger Wharf where I was actually living during those beautiful two years.
Woolloomooloo was once, till the 80’s, the poorest neighbourhood of the city where workers and migrants were living. The area is today an iconic place to visit and the same houses, then worthless, worth now millions and are a trendy place to live.
