Year 2007. “Welcome anything that comes to you, but do not long for anything else.” Andre Gide
In Tibetan or Buddhism colours tradition and culture the white colour stands for purity and therefore used to welcome. And Andre Gide is specially right if the intentions are not clear, that is why nowadays they put lockers in their doors as our host told me during my visit.
I loved my visit to Tibet back in 2007. They are special and we should hope we will not have to requiem for their ancestral culture, religious habits and kind openness. The destruction done after the chinese invasion in the 50’s and specially during the cultural revolution in the 60’s generated a suffering too heavy to endure and hopefully enough… though is hard to believe considering the rich natural resources laying underneath their soil and rocks in times of greedy for commodity goods.
