Year 2009 collection. In as many times as I drove from Bangkok to Hua Hin between January and April I always loved to stop at these salt farms. After that period they are just ugly dry fields. However these photos may will soon be just postal cards and photo souvenirs from a transformed area because the industrial development are not doing any favour to this traditional way of harvesting the salt commodity. This particular spot has actually meanwhile disappeared giving way to a petrol station due to its location nearby motorway. There are plenty of salt farms in Thailand and some will remain forever because they are also sanctuaries for migratory birds and therefore protected… They say.
We shall see.
