Year 2005. After a snow storm if the temperature increases to the melting point and suddenly freezes to bellow zero a phenomena like this one happen and great pictures can be taken. Unfortunately for the photo lovers, (but fortunately for pedestrians!), this phenomena does not happen often, maybe once every winter, and chances are obviously higher in countries with harsh winters like Canada where I was in 2005 to spend Christmas with my family. It was really cold that day. The temperature did not drop just bellow zero but dropped to -17 Celsius the day after being +3 Celsius. In such a circumstances you need to love photography because it needs patience in consideration to the wind that seldom is quite and can easily blur the photos.
