Year 2009. I visited my daughter for her Master Degree Graduation ceremony at UCL beginning of September of this year. She was living in Camden Town area and together with mommy took us there and we were impressed with the preservation they have done with the once most industrial economic based neighbourhood of London. Important during the industrial development of the railway roads Camden renovation left signs, for us to see, of those glorious but hardship times to work and live. Camden is today a market for any kind of tourist souvenirs but most importantly for London people is a place with a vibrante night life. Actually that night we have crossed the once famous singer Amy Winehouse hang-out in Camden Town.
This statue is a tribute to the steel workforce once dominante in the industries of London Borough of Camden as it was known.
