Year 2014. Lagoa do Fogo is one of the 3 major existing lakes in S. Miguel Island in the Azores Archipelago created following volcanic eruptions. Taking photos of this specific place is a challenge because in less than 30 minutes we can take completely different pictures as the weather constantly changes and sometimes quite dramatically. Depending on the light its beauty surpasses an imaginable jurassic reality. The turquoise and greenish  waters related to the sediments of the bottom floor change its tonal range according to the light without compromising the contraste a photographer is looking for and giving sometimes a feeling we are at an exoplanet such is the preservation of the place with no signs of man made something…
